People looking for a multiplayer game to add to the library should take a peek at Dokapon Kingdom: Connect, coming to Nintendo Switch this month! The original title was a cult-classic party title on the Nintendo Wii and I can’t wait to see how Connect squares up. The demo is up now on Steam and I’ll have an explainer before it launches on what makes it its own unique entry into life-sim as a Stardew Valley-inspired title that comes with its own identity. Roots of Pacha is an indie game coming to PC this month that was first shown last summer and caught my love. Live A Live will hit PlayStation and PC, bringing the remastered 1994 classic off of Nintendo consoles for the first time in 30 years.ĭLC coming this month includes Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak are sure to make fans happy to dive back into their respective much-loved worlds. The long-awaited Dead Island 2 and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor will both release this month (though a bit later), but the hype is there nonetheless! The Mega Man Legacy Battle Collection, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, and Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana are among some remasters headed to consoles and/or PC that are definitely worth a pickup regardless of whether its your first playthrough or a nostalgic replay. We’ve got some blockbusters on the horizon just out of reach (*cough* Tears of the Kingdom *cough*), but there are some great titles launching soon along with, perhaps, a sleeper title just waiting to take over your life. As of right now, there is no more specific launch window for Roots of Pacha within 2022. This game releases for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam next year. Whenever Roots of Pacha will be released on Switch, I'm definitely double dipping by first buying the Steam version, then I'm buying the Switch version for at-home gaming. The online co-op feature was put front and center in this trailer, but players also have the option of playing through the entire game by themself. Time definitely still feels like it's moving too slowly until the full release on Steam in April 25th. The game also looks at how early humans lived and how they started from seemingly nothing to building societies where people can not only survive, but thrive. One of the important themes in Roots of Pacha is all about looking at how certain things that we take for granted came to be such as harnessing fire to humanity’s benefit, domesticating wild animals, storage of surplus food, irrigation, and much more. The game is being developed by Soda Jam, a pair of brothers who were just wanting to play more co-op games together while being physically apart. Its already well on its way to that target, and theres 29 days on the campaign to go. Play with friends in co-op or explore the early days of civilization in single-player. Discover ideas, domesticate crops, befriend animals, and contribute to the growth of your village. An official Kickstarter for the game is now live, and the team needs 35k to make the game a reality.
